"$60 million is $60 million," says Stephen A. Smith, referring to Ja Morant's contract losses on top of $7.7 million in suspensions.

Stephen A. Smith reminded Memphis Grizzlies forward Ja Morant that he lost $60 million due to his off-court conduct last season.

Smith provided some words of wisdom to Morant, who will serve a 25-game suspension

at the start of the season after breaking the NBA's weapons rules for the second time.

In a recent broadcast of "The Stephen A. Smith Show," the ESPN expert blasted Morant's antics last season, which lost him millions of dollars.

"I'm sure he'll get $231 million." He's getting $231 million with his new contract, his player contract, but $60 million is still $60 million.

That's $60 million out of your pocket for nothing more than folly."

However, during practice, he suffered a shoulder injury that necessitated surgery and ended his season.

"And we all have to give in to something or someone in some way." When you have your hand out for someone else's money, you can't do what you want, when you want, and how you want.
