Aaron Rodgers Has Classy Message For Jets' First Round Draft Pick

A quarterback named J.J. McCarthy was selected by the Minnesota Vikings after the New York Jets made a transaction with them that moved them up one spot in the draft.

With the eleventh overall pick, the Jets selected Olu Fashanu, a former offensive lineman for Penn State. This was just one pick after the previous selection.

Before Fashanu returned to Penn State for another season, he was considered a sure thing to be selected in the top five of the NFL draft from the previous year.

He was one of the youngest prospects in the draft during that time.

During his time playing college football, he only allowed one sack, despite the fact that his tape had a modest decline in quality.

He will now be responsible for safeguarding Aaron Rodgers, who has won the NFL MVP award four times.

While celebrating Fashanu's selection, the starting quarterback for the Jets took a time to himself.

Amazing moment in time. On Thursday evening, Rodger posted a message on social media stating, "Welcome, Olu Fashanu."
