Ahead of the race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, there is good news and bad news for the NASCAR Cup teams.

The Cup Series heads to Kansas Speedway this weekend for the first of two visits. 

Tyler Reddick won at Kansas last fall. … Reddick is the only driver to finish in the top five at both Las Vegas and Texas, the two most recent races on 1.5-mile tracks. 

Good news, Front Row Motorsports: Dover is over. The bad news is that Michael McDowell has finished third on average over the last six races.  

In the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway last year, Zane Smith finished in 10th place, marking the organization's final top-10 result at a 1.5-mile track without drafting.  

Hendrick Motorsports: Positive update: at the two races held at Kansas last year, drivers from Hendrick led 46% of the laps.  

In both races, Kyle Larson placed among the top five finishers. .. This season, Hendrick drivers have won both races at 1.5-mile non-drafting courses. Larson triumphed in Vegas.  

William Byron leads the series in the longest running streak.
