Angle Reese, the newest star of Chicago Sky, took the podium for her first press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
In the WNBA Draft held last week, Reese was selected with the seventh overall choice.
Reese averaged 13.4 rebounds and 18.6 points per game in her final season with the LSU Tigers.
In the previous season, she also contributed to the Tigers' NCAA Women's College Basketball National Championship victory.
Reese gave some motivational remarks about her WNBA career during her news conference. "I know, being able to observe the impact is astounding."
"It's incredible to be able to see my name on the back of a jersey after growing up idolizing so many amazing WNBA players," Reese remarked.
Reese went on, emphasizing one thing about her chance to play in the WNBA. "I won't take anything for granted. Every day, I want to put in a lot of effort and do whatever it takes to succeed. I want no one to take my place.
