Anne Hathaway on Overcoming Being a "Chronically Stressed Young Woman" 

According to the Oscar-winning actress, "I didn't know how to breathe" when asked about her experience with stress.  

Anne Hathaway is speaking out about the effects of stress on her acting career and the steps she took to overcome them.  

The Academy Award–winning actress revealed during an interview with The Interview, a podcast by The New York Times,   

that she has probably portrayed "chronically stressed out young women" on screen because she was "a really stressed out young woman" in real life.  

"I was a young woman who was really anxious," Hathaway reflected. She reflected on her work success and how she had been a chronically stressed young lady before it all came crashing down.   

You are taking this for granted, you are taking your life for granted," she said, referring to her previous struggles.  

Then she continued, "You're completely underestimated. If anything were to plummet from the sky, you would be completely dark.  

whenever I feel the old habits creeping back in, I simply remind myself, "You are not gonna die stressed."
