Annie Potts 'shocked' by 'Young Sheldon' cancellation

Saying goodbye is never easy. Ask Annie Potts, who is still in shock over Young Sheldon's cancellation.

Iain Armitage, the costar and young Sheldon himself, joined Potts, and she was open about her feelings on CBS' choice to cancel the show after seven seasons.

She told Variety, "I was completely unprepared for this one, which is why it was especially hard."

I was taken aback. That is, the top Netflix series and the top network TV show.

Other than a few pasta recipes, we're all that people seem to watch on TikTok, I believe. Simply put, it felt like such a dumb business decision."

Potts went on, "Pardon me, but I'm not sure." You can kind of predict when a show is going to falter,

slow, or have too few stories, etc. This was like an absolute surprise to us."

In his own words, Armitage felt that "we could have done a lot more" with the program.
