Bill Belichick was mocked by his son Steve: 'I have a job; he doesn't.'

The son of the great coach thought it was hilarious that Bill Belichick still had a job.

On Wednesday, Steve Belichick—who had previously assisted his father as a member of the Patriots coaching staff—was unveiled as the University of Washington's defensive coordinator.

When asked how he and his father were different, Steve said, "We definitely have similarities." He does not have a job, but I do.

Steve continued, "He knows that," as the reporters in the room giggled.

"I admire my father greatly. He served as my mentor. But I'm who I am," he continued. "I can't wait to work with these guys, the kids, and recruit the kids out on the field while just being myself."

From 2012 to the current season, Steve Belichick, 37, worked as a defensive assistant with the New England Patriots, coaching outside linebackers, defensive backs, and safeties in varied capacities.

He was brought on board by Washington to work with head coach Jedd Fisch.

After spending the previous three seasons as the University of Arizona's coach, Fisch joined the Huskies.
