Bronny James' College Career Declines Due to $800,000 Suffering

Being the son of LeBron James is both a blessing and a curse.

When Bronny James, a freshman guard from Sierra Canyon, committed to the University of Southern California Trojans in 2023,.

He not only grabbed attention for his NIL (name, image, and likelihood) value but also for his on-court abilities (averaging 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.8 steals).

Because to his lucrative partnerships with companies like PSD Underwear, Nike, and Beats by Dre, his valuation was estimated to be close to $5.9 million.

Brand value and roster value are combined to calculate On3's NIL index, which is based on exposure and social media impact in the licensing and sponsorship sector.

On July 24, 2023, however, Bronny's life took an unexpected turn when he passed out and went into cardiac arrest at a USC practice held at the Galen Center.

After five months out of court, his NIL value dropped to 4.7 million. His performance was lackluster once he returned to the Trojans in December, and the team's success was also crucial.

March Madness did not accept them, and Bronny's NIL value dropped to $4.5 million. Bronny James participated in just 25 games during the 2023–24 campaign, averaging 19.4 minutes per game, 4.8 points, 2.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 steals. He fired 26.7% from three and 36.6% from the field, adding to the suffering.
