This romance on the tennis court was really successful.

According to IMDB's Box Office Mojo, "Challengers" made over $6.2 million on Friday, winning the box office race on its first night of release in theaters.

The Post praised Zendaya and Mike Faist's romantic sports drama, calling it “artful, addictive, and deceptive.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie, which follows a tennis champion who makes a return with the aid of his former prodigy wife, might have a $15 million opening weekend.

Second place went to the Christian drama "Unsung Hero," which earned $3.65 million.

The film, which was also released on Friday, tells the tale of the Grammy-winning Smallbone family, who immigrated to the United States from Australia in the 1990s and describes their difficult journey.

With a take of more than $1.9 million, "Civil War," which The Post criticized as "a torturous, overrated movie without a point," came in third place.

It surpassed other high-earning films from the indie production company A24, like "Lady Bird" and "Hereditary," to become the second-highest grossing picture in just over two weeks after its release.
