In the trailer for Zoë Kravitz's directorial debut, Blink Twice, Channing Tatum plays a software mogul who entices visitors to his private island.
Tatum's Slater King opens the long look at the movie by jokingly declaring that everyone is dead and then going back to the beginning.
In the flashback, he greets Frida (played by Naomi Ackie) and her companion Jess (Aliena Shawkat) and extends an invitation to visit his private island.
"Did we just jet off to a billionaire's island with a bunch of strangers?" Frida responds, "No, he's not a stranger," to Jess's question. His name is Slater King.
Throughout the teaser, Jess makes jokes about human sacrifice as the women savor the finer things in Slater King's life, such as champagne and delicious cuisine.
As more time passes, the visitors gradually start to lose their memories and sense that something is wrong.
Adria Arjona's character Sarah states, "I'm having a great time here, but I also have this feeling that I'm like not," and Simon Rex's character Cody agrees. "There's something weird going on here."
Kravitz previously opened up about casting Tatum in the sinister lead role, noting she liked that he hadn't really done dark roles before.
