NASA Alert! 1029-foot Gigantic Space Rock Racing Towards Earth: Check Distance, Speed

On April 30, the 1029-foot asteroid 2022 TN1 will come dangerously near to Earth.

An large asteroid, 2022 TN1, is rapidly approaching Earth, causing NASA scientists to be on high alert.

At its closest approach to Earth on April 30, 2024, this gigantic space rock will be 1029 feet broad.

Predictions show that the asteroid will come within about 7,130,461 kilometers of Earth, which is fewer than 19 times the distance between our planet and the Moon.

This close approach is causing specialists to feel anxious, since it is zipping past at an incredible speed of 63,828 kilometers per hour.

According to NASA, there is zero chance of a collision with 2022 TN1. Nevertheless, it is a sobering reminder of the cosmic threats that may be lurking about us.

The majority of the solar system's asteroids reside in the main belt, which stretches from Jupiter to Mars.

However, 2022 TN1's orbit doesn't quite conform to the norm, so it's a bit of a galactic nomad. Occasionally, it will pass dangerously close to Earth during its course.
