Cowboys Sign WR Tyron Johnson

Tyron Johnson, a wide receiver, worked out for the Cowboys on Monday and the organization announced that he had signed.  

Following the 2019 NFL Draft, Johnson, 28, signed a contract with the Texans as an undrafted free agency out of Oklahoma State.   

After the preseason, he signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract, but was waived.  

A few days later, Johnson signed a practice squad contract with the Bills. After that, he had quick spells with the Jaguars, Chargers, Texans, and Panthers before joining the Raiders.  

After Johnson was brought back by the Texans, they waived him once more. Subsequently, he signed a contract with the Bengals before being signed by the 49ers.  

He was waived by San Francisco following the 2023 draft.  

After that, Johnson became popular with the Cowboys and inked a two-year contract; however, at the conclusion of the preseason, he was cut.   

He was on their practice squad the previous season. Johnson had four appearances in 2022 and grabbed one pass for eight receiving yards.
