Cranberry Chia Jam Recipe

For many years, lathering jam on toast or an English muffin has been a classic breakfast and teatime  

The combination of warm, crispy bread and sweet, oozy jam is a global favorite due to something specific.  

Any type of berry may be used to make jam, and because fresh cranberries are always available in bags at the store throughout the holiday season,  

trying to make cranberry chia jam is a great way to use these brilliant deep red berries for something other than turkey dinner.  

"Cranberries have been a symbol of the holidays for centuries," explains recipe developer and wellness coach Miriam Hahn, who shares her recipe with us.

Easy to prepare, this jam has a tangy and sweet flavor that will definitely improve your morning toast.  

"If you're eager to make this jam before the fresh cranberries are available, frozen work just fine, making this a jam you can make year-round," Hahn advises.  

Next, you'll need some cinnamon, maple syrup, and our main ingredient—chia seeds. "Black chia seeds are the most common but there is a white variety too that you can use if you prefer," Hahn explains.
