British actor Dominic West called the 2020 photos of him and his former co-star Lily James “absurd” and “deeply stressful” for his family.
West and James, who co-starred in “The Pursuit of Love,” were photographed in Rome in 2020 at a restaurant and on an electric scoot
Following the images, West and FitzGerald appeared for the press outside their home with a scribbled note: “Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Many thanks.”
If we went out together, the press said we were ‘putting on a show of unity.’ Although we were arguing about parking the car, West told the Sunday Times it was far from the truth.
As we go out, we ask, ‘Shall we go and have a display of solidarity up in London?’”
West used his experience of the media frenzy surrounding the pictures to play Prince Charles in Netflix's “The Crown.”
