During an unplanned walk about, Prince William provides an update on Kate Middleton and their children.

After his most recent royal engagement, Prince William provided an optimistic update regarding Kate Middleton and their children.

The 41-year-old Prince of Wales spoke with admirers who had come to meet him after his April 30 visit at James' Place Newcastle in northeastern England.

William spoke to two women who had Union Jack flags draped around their shoulders and offered a brief update on his wife,

who had delayed her public duties as queen in order to receive cancer treatment, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

During his trip to northeast England, Prince William paid visits to Low Carbon Materials, a finalist for the 2022 Earthshot Prize, and James' Place, a mental health charity.

This was his third day of forward-looking royal engagements since his wife revealed her cancer diagnosis on March 22.

In a self-written video statement, Princess Kate, 42, revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy following post-operative testing linked to her January stomach surgery,

William took some time off in the weeks that followed Kate's health announcement, returning to the public eye the next day.
