Every Swiftie Theory About ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ from the Tracklist

There's a lot for Swifties to consider between now and April 19.

During her February 4 Grammy Award acceptance, Taylor Swift revealed her upcoming 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. The album will be released in 2024.

"This is lucky number thirteen for me—my 13th Grammy. Swift jokingly said to the audience, "I don't know if I've ever told you that."

"As a way of saying thank you to all of the fans, I've been keeping this a secret for the past two years: my brand-new album is coming out on April 19th."

The singer released the album artwork on social media a short while later, then the tracklist the following day.

With nothing more than song titles and a monochrome image of Swift in bed as reference material, Swifties have concocted some intriguing speculations regarding the subject matter of the album.

Swift said, "Everything's fair in love and poetry," as the caption for her album announcement on Instagram. This is a heartfelt statement from someone who has faced backlash for penning songs about her romantic relationships.

The Grammy winner has already made references to poetry in her songs (listen to "The Lakes" and "Sweet Nothing").
