Ex-Cowboys Playoff Starter Joins Seahawks for 20th Season

Seattle Seahawks sign a former Dallas Cowboy.

On Tuesday, September 12, ESPN's Brady Henderson reported that 41-year-old offensive tackle Jason Peters will join the Seahawks.

Peters signed with the Cowboys before the 2022 season due to Tyron Smith's injury. Peters was a crucial flexible reserve for an injury-plagued Cowboys offensive line despite playing his fewest offensive snaps (235) since his 2004 Buffalo Bills rookie season.

The experienced lineman played left guard, right tackle, and left tackle in 10 games. Dallas changed its starting offensive line for Week 18's playoff.

Pro Football Focus gave Peters a 64.1 offensive grade and 72.1 pass-blocking grade when blocking for Dak Prescott's blindside against the Buccaneers in the wild card playoffs. His 33 offensive snaps only allowed one pressure on Dak Prescott.
