Ezekiel Elliott is quietly having a great 2022 for the Cowboys.

Ezekiel Elliott, the running back for the Dallas Cowboys, is a different athlete now that he is 27 years old.

You could very well argue that Elliott was the best running back in football during that four-year period.

The former first-round choice rushed for over 5,400 yards at an average of 4.6 yards per carry and scored an astounding 48 touchdowns over his four-year rampage that was worthy of an All-Pro.

Zeke rushing the football is probably not going to be seen again, but the version we've seen so far in six games of the 2022 season is far superior than you might imagine.

Elliott's 2022 season thus far won't impress you if you only look at the obvious numbers.

With 94 run attempts, the former All-Pro has gained 386 yards (4.1 Y/A) and two touchdowns. Although those are pretty unremarkable figures, they do not convey the full picture.

Elliott's one subpar performance against the Commanders in Week 4 severely skews his Y/A average.

Dallas was unable to generate any momentum in the run game during the game, as Tony Pollard and Elliott were frequently tackled in the backfield and lost.
