For the 40th anniversary of 'Footloose', Kevin Bacon returns to Utah high school.

Kevin Bacon visited Payson High School this weekend 40 years after appearing in "Footloose" there.

Bacon visited the school after months of social media campaigns by students to bring him back to the campus that made him famous for their "Everybody Cut....

....Footloose" themed prom, according to a Bacon representative and his non-profit's press release.

The announcement states that a #BaconToPayson campaign began last fall to reconnect the celebrity with his fictional campus before renovations wreck the real one.

"Here we are at this beautiful, beautiful spot on this beautiful, beautiful day," Bacon told the gathering.

"It’s been a long time, it’s been 40 years...that just blows my mind," added.

"You were all just tireless, unrelenting in your desire to have me return," remarked.

I love seeing that type of dedication to anything. I also believe it's incredible how this movie has brought people together and connected on its core concepts."
