Harvey Weinstein victims react to 'tragic' overturn of rape conviction

In a statement released with USA TODAY, Judd expressed her deep sorrow at the continued intrusion of male sexual aggression into the lives of American women.

She said that it was a tragic reminder that this kind of violence happens every day.

Our daily lives are marked by a sense of male entitlement when it comes to our female bodies.

In the United States, our own houses pose the greatest threat to our safety. The males who are most likely to attack, rape, or murder us are also the ones who know.

"Each of us who survived Harvey Weinstein's serial sexual predation knew him," said the woman.

The power imbalance between us and him was something he delighted in taking advantage of.

I barely escaped his sexual attack in that hotel room in 1996, and he slandered me for it.

His disgusting sexual pestering, anger, and punishment were not avoided by me.
