In NBA history, only Luka Doncic and Michael Jordan have done this

There have only been two NBA players in history to finish a postseason with at least 30 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Michael Jordan is one of them. Superstar Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks is the other.

Since joining the league in 2018, Doncic has averaged 32.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 30 postseason games.

Tuesday night's 96-93 victory over the Clippers in Game 2 of the Mavericks' first-round series was his most recent display of postseason heroism.

Along with six rebounds and nine assists, Doncic finished with 32 points, including a spectacular step-back 3-pointer

The Mavericks, without Doncic and Kyrie Irving, scored 41 points on 13 of 32 shots (40.6%) from the field as a team.

On Tuesday, Luka displayed exceptional defensive play and demonstrated his ability to stay ahead of both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

"He's Benjamin Button," Jason Kidd remarked of Doncic following Game 2. "He is moving in reverse.

He'll tell you he can play for 48 (minutes) if you ask him.

Luka also made his first playoff appearance as a second-year player, losing to the Clippers, 4-2, in the 2019 first round. He did manage to get his first series win earlier, though, as he led the Mavericks all the way to the Western Conference Finals in 2022 before falling in five games to the Golden State Warriors.
