James Gunn Hints at Superman, a DC Comics character that fans love

James Gunn's most recent social media post conveyed a mysterious message to Superman fans worldwide.

The post, which uses the iconic Superman S-symbol, may be an allusion to Krypto the Superdog making an appearance in his most recent Superman interpretation.

For those who do not know, Krypto is Superman's devoted Kryptonian pet buddy. Since making its comic book debut in 1955

With his track record of successfully adapting iconic comic book characters to the big screen—Rappocaun, Cosmo the Spacedog, Howard the Duck, and more—James Gunn's portrayal of Krypto in Superman seems all but plausible.

Apart from conjecture, James Gunn has not provided any formal reassurance on Krypto's presence.

However, James Gunn has already refuted reports that Streaky the Supercat may soon make an appearance in the DC Universe, so Krypto is still a possibility.

Gunn posted a picture of Nora, the actual dog who serves as the mascot for the art department, wearing a Superman cape back in August.
