Kelly Clarkson Tips Her Hat To Little Big Town With ‘Boondocks’ Cover

Kelly Clarkson performed a rendition of Little Big Town's 2005 smash song "Boondocks" as a tribute on the Kellyoke stage.

She kept the essence of the original song while adding her own personal touch to it, all black everything, long waves in her hair.

She mimicked Little Big Town's sound by harmonizing with her backup vocalist.

The song became the band's most well-known success when it was first released, rocketing to the Top 10 of the country charts.

Recently, Clarkson has performed covers of several country hits, including George Strait's "Carrying Your Love With Me."

Jelly Roll's "Save Me," and her legendary duet with Lainey Wilson on her new single "Country's Cool Again."

But her rendition of "White Horse" by Chris Stapleton has fans licking their lips in anticipation of her debut country album.

Despite becoming a pop icon during her career, Kelly Clarkson has never forgotten her Texas heritage.
