Knicks' $20 million 'trade prize' could be scratched from the playoff rotation.

Not every trade works in professional sports. Alec Burks, Bojan Bogdanovic, and the New York Knicks are all learning this lesson together.

On February 9, the two veterans were traded by the Detroit Pistons for former first-round pick Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn, Ryan Arcidiacono, and two second-round picks.

.However, despite being trusted with a high number of shots in important minutes since joining the Knicks, their shots have not fallen.

Stefan Bondy of the New York Post believes it will cost them their playoff spot, as he stated in an April 7 editorial.

"Creeping up on the two-month anniversary of the Knicks' deadline deal with the Pistons, Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks continue to ride the struggle bus," Bondy wrote in an email.

"And it leaves questions about their future in the potential playoff rotation."

"Allen has rare size on an imposing frame," NFL Media's Lance Zierlein said.

And his production is nothing to laugh at. Evaluators will need to depend more heavily on his 2022 footage, which shows him running with greater decisiveness and instincts in a pro-style running approach.

"He's built to be a banger but needs to embrace a consistently physical style, as he lacks the footwork and hips to elude defenders with finesse."
