Kyrie Irving Makes NBA History Following Game 1 vs. Clippers

In the first game of the NBA Playoffs First Round on Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 109-97.  

The Clippers started the series with a 1-0 lead.  

Kyrie Irving, the guard for the Mavericks, made NBA history despite the loss.   

In an NBA Playoffs game, Irving became the first player in history to score 20 points or more in a quarter without missing a shot.   

In the third quarter, he accomplished this, scoring 20 points on 8/8 shooting and 2/2 three-point shooting.

Kyrie ended with seven rebounds, four assists, and 31 points in the game. He made 10/18 field goals and 3/6 three-pointers.
