MSNBC host on Lara Trump takeover: ‘Now we’ve got nepo-RNC’

The Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair, a daughter-in-law of the late President Trump,

was recently elected, as mentioned by MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Friday.

Wallace jokingly said on "Deadline: White House" Friday, "Now we've got nepo-RNC."

The RNC decided on Friday to appoint Michael Whatley, a former head of the North Carolina GOP, and Lara Trump,

the former president's son Eric's wife, as chair and co-chair of the group, respectively.

During the primary season, Ronna McDaniel, the former leader of the RNC, resigned from her role due to conflict with Trump.

Speaking with RNC committee members on Friday, Lara said that the organization had already received a $100,000 check and emphasized the need of fundraising and promoting early voting

We must approach the game somewhat differently. People need to be encouraged to take actions like casting an early ballot, she said.
