'New Vegas is a very, very significant game to us,' admits mildly frustrated Todd Howard, who will always be asked about it.  

Can we irritate Todd Howard enough to sway him against Fallout: New Vegas?   

The Bethesda Game Studios director remains a fan of Obsidian's 2010 Fallout spin-off New Vegas, respects its legacy, and isn't aiming to erase it from history.  

Actually, the query was benign: A fan inquired on a Kinda Funny Games stream if Bethesda and Obsidian's Microsoft ownership opened the door to new collaboration.   

Howard responded, "I can't speak to things that we're doing with the franchise in the future, obviously."  

Host Greg Miller quipped that Howard didn't have to answer because he dislikes New Vegas. Howard reiterated that he has never hated Obsidians.  

"First I'll say, [Obsidian] did an amazing job with New Vegas," he remarked. The game was published by us.   

I consider Feargus Urquhart, who runs Obsidian, a personal favourite in the videogame industry. New Vegas is a crucial game for us, and our fans did a great job. I think the show is leaning into New Vegas."  

Howard's latest disdain of New Vegas was allegedly shown in the Amazon Fallout show's handling of Shady Sands,
