Eva Evans, 29, a New York City-based influencer, died by suicide.
The TikTok star was discovered in her apartment on Saturday evening by a friend who had a key, law enforcement sources informed TMZ on April 23.
Evans' companion reportedly informed police that they did not know she was battling with her mental health, and a note was left.
Evans' sister, Lila, announced on Instagram on April 21 that the influencer had passed away.
Lila complimented her sister and described the tragic news in the description to the picture, which included a photo of Evans wearing a colorful dress and smiling.
"Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to," she asked in her post.
"Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died."
She stated that "a celebration of Eva" will take place in lower Manhattan on April 23.
