Olivia Munn conceals double mastectomy 'battle wounds' 'A little sad'

Olivia Munn had a double mastectomy after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis a year ago.

The 43-year-old actress told People magazine that she's coming to terms with the "battle wounds" she sees in the mirror after undergoing three operations and reconstruction.

Munn had not disclosed her diagnosis or her healing process when she walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars celebration in March.

"I have some divots and dents on one side of my body near where the lymph nodes were, and they had to really dig out," said Munn. "And I've been wearing some dresses on the red carpet that made me a little stressed out at times."

Munn revealed that, before the Oscars party she went with John Mulaney, her beauty artist, Diane Buzzetta, "learned how to do tattoo-type makeup". Malcolm is the couple's two-year-old son.

Is there another method Munn used to hide her scars? expanding her hair.

"Sometimes I look in the mirror and I think, ‘Oh, my hair is so long now, and it's because of this,’" she stated. And sometimes I find it a little depressing that there are things I still wish to keep hidden.

“However, I then remind myself that they are only battle wounds and that I'm free to display or conceal them as I like."
