Oracle's Larry Ellison announces plans to move world headquarters to Nashville

On Tuesday, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison revealed intentions to relocate the software behemoth's headquarters to Nashville,

Tennessee. Ellison went on to say that the city is strategically located in the heart of the healthcare business.

An onstage discussion between Ellison and former Senate majority leader Bill Frist took place in Nashville, and Oracle Health posted the video on Tuesday via LinkedIn.

In an interview with Frist, the company's founder and current chairman said that Nashville will house their "huge campus" and "ultimately be our world headquarters."

After promptly saying, "I shouldn't have said that," Ellison revealed future plans for his company and there was no going back.

During his explanation of the company's plans to relocate to Nashville, Ellison gushed about how the city is "a fabulous place to live.

He went on to say that Oracle's acquisition of Cerner, a software provider for electronic health records based in Kansas City, Missouri, for $28 billion in 2022 solidified the acquisition and would further establish Oracle as a dominant player in the healthcare industry,
