‘Outlander’ Star Sam Heughan Opens Up About Emotional End of Series

Outlander star Sam Heughan opened out about how emotional it is to be filming the eighth and final season of the popular Starz series.

Heughan attended The Land Con 6 in Paris on April 13 and 14, where he spoke with former and current costars about his opinions about the previous season.   

"We are filming the last season...  "Season 8," Heughan stated at the beginning of the RosterCon video. "We've now shot three weeks."  

Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, Steven Cree, John Bell, César Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Izzy Meikle-Small, Joey Phillips, Duncan Lacroix, and even Tobias Menzies were among the many celebrities who attended.  

During a panel session, Heughan proceeded to express his emotions, saying, "It's really hard for me."  

The actors gathered around a table for a read-through of the show, making it a memorable event.  

"We were on a castle set at the studio, and there was a piper musician... "They were playing 'The Skye Boat Song,' the theme song, and I just..."  

It is clearly an emotional period, as he stated, "there are so many memories. It's hard to believe that 11 years have passed so quickly.
