Police say one person died and a youngster was injured in a shooting in St. Petersburg.  

Saint Petersburg, Fla. Officials say a Saturday afternoon shooting in St. Petersburg killed a 21-year-old man and injured a 17-year-old kid.  

After receiving reports of a shooting, St. Petersburg Police rushed to the 100 block of 80th Ave NE around 1:18 p.m.  

Two individuals were found with gunshot wounds, police say. Authorities reported Marcus Rivers deceased at the spot and notified his family.  

The 17-year-old shooting youngster was brought to Orlando Health Bayfront St. Petersburg hospital and is likely to live.  

No one has been apprehended and authorities are investigating the shooting's cause. Investigators believe the suspects know the victims.  

"It worries me. Residents would be worried. It appears this was not a random act of violence. It seems targeted "Assistant Police Chief Antonio Gilliam stated.
