Actress Priscilla Presley is selling her storybook-style property in Beverly Hills, California, for $15.99 million, after living there for decades.
It went on the market on Monday for the first time in almost 45 years, according to the listing with Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland, who did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
Set on more than an acre of property and nestled away behind double gates, the Mediterranean-style spread is a
"true sanctuary offering privacy and seclusion that is so rare today," according to the description, and it "has been lovingly maintained by the current owner."
According to the Los Angeles Times, which originally reported the offering, the property was built in 1951 and has since been restored.
It is full of rustic character and charm, from grand fireplaces to beamed ceilings and paneled walls.
According to the description, the seven-bedroom residence includes several entertainment rooms, including a formal living room, dining room, and library, and practically every room opens out onto the beautiful garden.
Outside, a separate guest apartment is over the garage, and the gardens include a pool and tennis court.
Property documents that identify Ms. Presley as the owner do not go back far enough to determine when she purchased the home or how much she paid for it.
