Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso' may be this summer's hit. Summer hits can be valuable.

With "Espresso," her new song, the pop sensation might have just released the midsummer smash of the year.

And that's following months of opening for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, rekindling her romance with Barry Keoghan from "Saltburn," and this weekend's Coachella performance. She has been occupied.

Carpenter boasts in her recent energetic hit that she can keep men up at night just like an espresso.

And now, oh, he thinks of me every night. Is it really that sweet? So, I suppose," she croons. Say, 'I know you can't sleep, baby. Espresso, that's me."

In the music video that goes with it, Carpenter and her pals unwind at the beach while being showered with attention from men who fan and oil them with palm branches.

In several instances, she sports sunglasses, a head scarf, and opulent shopping bags, giving off a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" atmosphere.

After being released on Friday, the song had about 1.5 million plays by Saturday and was sitting at number seven on Spotify's Top 50.

Pop hits have always been the summertime hit song in the past, but there was a country exception last year. Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" topped the charts for the entire summer of 2023.

It was Harry Styles' "As It Was" in 2022. And Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" was the biggest hit the year prior.
