A group led by Arthur Briaud, an astronomer, wrote "Our results question the evolution of the moon magnetic field thanks to its demonstration of the existence
inner core and support a global mantle overturn scenario that brings substantial insights on the timeline of the lunar bombardment in the first billion years of the solar system."
Through the acoustic waves produced by earthquakes, the team is able to gain further insight about the inner components.
With this unexpected discovery, scientists aim to learn more about the solar system and the history of the moon.
Prada, an Italian fashion designer, will create NASA's next space suit for a planned lunar mission, according to other space-related news.
The new suits are being developed by engineers from Prada and Axiom Space's systems teams in preparation for the space agency's Artemis III mission,
which will make history by landing on the moon for the first time since Apollo 17 in 1972.
"In order to enable a long-term presence there, Axiom Space's Artemis III spacesuit will be prepared to meet the complex challenges of the lunar south pole and help grow our understanding of the moon."
