Spider-Man: No Way Home Concept Art Shows MJ in a Heroic Situation

Spider-Man: No Way Home concept art by Marvel Studios artist Phil Saunders offers a glimpse into a sequence that didn't make it into the finished movie, in which MJ valiantly battles Green Goblin to save Peter (Tom Holland).

Saunders posted the artwork to his Instagram, as can be seen below, along with multiple close-up images.

In the picture's highly energetic moment, Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin is seen clutching Spider-Man by the throat while scaffolding crashes behind them.

Goblin is facing Michelle Jones, played by Zendaya, who is tussling with him and holding up a syringe in preparation to inject him.

For "#spiderman #nowayhome," Saunders says that "this was one of the most fun keyframes to do."

In an early draft of the script, the green goblin manages to attack.

Spidey just as MJ tries to stab him in the neck with the antidote needle by knocking him to the ground.

Working out this composition's dynamics to reflect the emotion of the event was a blast.
