Powell dipped Sweeney in his arms, gleefully. On red carpets, Sweeney looked up at Powell with desire. In interviews, the couple giggled and flirted.
Following the breakup of Powell's long-term girlfriend and Sweeney's engagement to executive producer of "Anyone but You," Jonathan Davino,
there were speculations circulating about an extramarital affair between the two actors.
The stars claimed that the conjecture came to pass just as planned.
Fun and chemistry are two essential ingredients for a successful romantic comedy. Powell stated in an interview,
"Sydney and I have a ton of fun together and we have a ton of effortless chemistry." It worked quite well. Sometimes you just have to lean into it a little.
