Taylor Swift and Shakira wins huge at MTV VMAs 2023.

A career-spanning medley of hits helped Shakira crowd-surf her way to a lifetime achievement award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The Colombian star danced with knives, writhed in a faux cave, and played a blistering guitar solo during Objection (Tango).

Wyclef Jean said, "Latin music would not be the global force that it is without Shakira."

Taylor Swift also led the night with nine Moon Man awards.The actress won all but two of her nominations, including video of the year for her self-directed Anti-Hero commercial.

After winning for Bad Blood, You Need to Calm Down, and All Too Well: The Short Film, she became the first artist to win video of the year twice in a row and set a record with four wins.

The singer, who is on the first $1bn stadium tour, won for Anti-Hero song of the year, best pop, best director, best cinematography, and best visual effects.

Midnights won album, artist, and summer show of the year.The 33-year-old dedicated her wins to songwriting. "I love making pop music, pop music videos, and country," she told a star-studded crowd at New Jersey's Prudential Center.

"I love slinking around genres, and you, the fans, let me do that." She also criticized 'NSync, who returned to deliver an award. "You guys are pop personified, so to receive this from your golden pop hands is too much," she told them.
