TAYLOR Swift will tie Madonna for the most chart-topping records by a female act in the UK when she hits No. 1 on Friday.
After three days on sale, the superstar's 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, is already the fastest-selling album of 2024, ensuring its top spot.
It was published on Friday and sold 183,826 copies in the UK alone, outselling the rest of the Top 40 combined.
It means she has surpassed Beyonce's Cowboy Carter, which was the previous year's fastest-selling album with 40,000 copies.
According to the Official Charts, she is also presently at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 on the singles chart with Fortnight, which features rapper Post Malone, the title track The Tortured Poets Department, and So Long London.
Taylor, 34, has 11 No. 1 albums to her credit, owing primarily to the popularity of her re-recorded tracks
, known as Taylor's Version, when the rights to her back catalogue were purchased without her permission.
Only The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Robbie Williams, and Elvis Presley have had more top-selling albums.
