‘Threats of violence’ deleted Taylor Swift's TTPD album reviewer's byline.

Paste Magazine noted in their recent review of Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department CD that they had deleted the author's byline to protect them from “threats of violence.”

Albums often split fans and reviewers of an artist. With Taylor Swift as a global superstar, the stakes are higher.

Fans of the Anti-Hero diva are ready to defend her first. In 2019, Paste reported a similar series of mistakes when reviewing Taylor's Lover album.

Due to claimed harsh threats against the writer, the team removed the article's name.

Paste commented on X/Twitter: “Editor's Note: There is no byline on this review because, in 2019, when Paste reviewed ‘Lover,’ readers threatened violence.

We prioritize staff safety over item names.”

In “Taylor Swift Strikes Out Looking on The Tortured Poets Department,” Paste rated Swift's 11th studio album 3.6.

The lede says Taylor "can't help but infantilise the very people who buy into her music and drive her successes upwards in the first place" on her new album.
