Travis Kelce may be able to delay retirement due to Kansas City Chiefs' decision

After the Kansas City Chiefs made a choice, Travis Kelce dropped hints that he might play for another five years.

It is possible that Kelce will remain on staff after the NFL club re-signed head coach Andy Reid.

After cementing his position in NFL history and winning back-to-back Super Bowls, Andy Reid can now say that he is the league's highest-paid coach.

He will spearhead his squad as they aim for an unparalleled three-game winning streak.

Reid has no plans to retire anytime soon, as his new contract extends until after 2029. Despite rumors to the contrary, he has no plans to retire even once his team wins another title.

Keeping Coach Reid on board is already considered a huge win by Chiefs fans who want to see the team continue its winning streak. It may also lengthen the period that tight end Kelce spends with the club.

When asked about his future with the Chiefs, Kelce said he would remain as long as Reid was head coach. No other NFL team has his interest.

Kelce admitted on his 'New Heights' podcast after the Super Bowl that he loves Coach Reid and that he understands how much he loves having players like him as part of his coaching staff.

Big Red is the only team I will play for. Dude, I'm leaving with him if he quits this year.

"I have a specific relationship with him," he said later. Several times he has checked on me, and I simply wanted to inform him that I desired this item; he is free to place it on me, and I have him.
