Wisconsin Rock Fest Bans ‘Hardcore Dancing, Flail Moshing’ and Creates Moshing Area

The largest rock and camping event in the U.S., Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, has a great lineup this year.

This year, Jelly Roll, Shinedown, and Thirty Seconds to Mars will headline the 360-acre event with more than 75 acts on three stages.

If you're coming out to see your favorite hard rock bands, slow down.

The current fest's improvements include a regulation that would limit hardcore dancing and the arm-swinging, high-kicking “flailing” form of moshing.

The July 18-20 festival organizers posted on Instagram on Tuesday that while they have “held back on moshing” in the past to ensure attendees' safety, they are setting up air....

....punching and kicking areas in response to the popularity of the sometimes bruising mosh pit experience.

We have held back on moshing at ‘Rock Fest’ to protect everyone's safety, our first priority.

However, we know that moshing is a vital part of rockers' release and metal experience for many of you.
