Zendaya Answers the Spider-Man to Tennis Player Movie Prophecy

The newest tennis player in your neighborhood that is friendly is Zendaya.

She's also realizing a coincidence prophecy with that role in Challengers: Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone, two of Spider-Man's past loves, are both successful tennis actors.

The actress said, "I thought that was quite funny," in an exclusive interview with Will Marfuggi of E! News.

Could you envision? You know what I need to do next, I think to myself.

The prophecy mentions it. (Watch more of Zendaya's interview tonight, April 22, at 11 p.m., on E! News.)

After all, Kirsten featured in Wimbledon in 2004 after playing Mary Jane opposite Tobey Maguire in 2002's Spider-Man.

As for Emma, she competed in Battle of the Sexes in 2017 following her 2012 role as Gwen Stacey, who dated Andrew Garfield's superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Even though Zendaya unintentionally emulated her amazing forebears, embracing her new role—in which she portrays a tennis player whose playing career ended abruptly due to a catastrophic injury—required a significant amount of self-examination.
